Are you looking for a gift for someone who loves Gothic Dark Siren designs? I hand-paint and decorated this extra extra large (36cm in length) solid wood unfinished hinged box as shown. The dimensions can be seen in some of the pictures included.
I used a decoupage technique to decorate this wooden box with beautiful Gothic Dark Siren/mermaid and sea life designs purchased through a couple fellow Etsy shops called RomanticCryptidChron and Giraffe Creative. They have some lovely designs available. Then, I print these designs on special decoupage rice paper and use a decoupage technique to attach them to the beautiful unfinished wooden XXL box I sourced. The textural sea effect to the outside of the box is done using a special white modelling paste with added acrylic paint colours to it along with other acrylic paints as shown. Added antique metal corner embellishments and flat backed pale gold round gemstones. There will be a black velvet felt layer on the base of the box and inside the box. Lastly, two coats of gloss varnish added giving a rich beautiful protective finish.
